WWE issued an email today revealing that come May 21st, several devices will no longer carry the WWE Network app. Devices that will no longer offer the app include the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Samsung and Sony Blu Ray players, older LG models, among others listed below.
WWE Network client apps are available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles. And it’s compatible with a range of smart TVs and other media streaming devices like Roku. How much data does the WWE Network use? WWE Network uses an adaptive streaming model, so data use depends on the quality of your network connection. Download the app to access WWE Network and stream EVERY LIVE PAY-PER-VIEW and thousands of hours of video on demand including:. Every WWE, WCW and ECW pay-per-view in history. Exclusive weekly in-ring shows. Original series and documentaries. Every episode of Raw, SmackDown and NXT In addition, get behind-the-scenes access to your favorite WWE Superstars and Legends.
These devices are almost all older and no longer receiving updates necessary, which is possibly the primary reason for this move, but many are looking ahead to WWE Network 2.0 that will come at some point in 2019. For those curious, Money in the Bank will indeed air prior to this change so for those concerned, you should still be able to view the event on these devices.
Below is what WWE revealed in their email and a list of devices no longer featuring the WWE Network app:
Our goal is always to provide you with the best possible viewing experience on WWE Network.
